Guided tour
During the Viking Age the east and west met, Asatru paganism and Christianity, countryside and towns, the old and the new. We at VikingaTider wish to tell about this colorful and multi-faceted part of exciting Scandinavian history.
A guided tour of the area lasts between 45 - 60 minutes. Learn more about how life was in Löddeköpinge a 1000 years ago, how the landscape has changed since then and how we work to bring the early Scanian history to life.
The tour is held in either Swedish or English, and can be tailormade to better suit a particular area of interest or age group.
We will adapt our tours to suit your requests depending on things like age or special interests. Aside from historical guided tours we also offer tours with a focus on nature.

Visit the Viking Age!
The archaeological open air museum VikingaTider is located on the outskirts of Löddeköpinge just by the stream Lödde å. Here you may experience the Viking Age on the site where trade took place by the stream during the Viking Age. From the entrance area with parking lots, motorhome stopover site and the museum shop and café and exhibition you continue on via the hiking trails in the area.
Here you encounter the Viking Age grave field and belfry, scenic views of the Viking Age landscape and the rune path with its stories.
Along the trails you find benches, picnic spots and grill sites. There are also bivouacs where canoeists can stay overnight.
The trail of course also leads to Idavallen with its try-it-yourself activities for children and adults alike. The site is named after the site where Viking warriors practiced their skills. You may also try out the Viking life for yourself. The large Viking farm with its longhouse, forge, bakery, crafting workshops and cultivations is a given destination on your journey.
As a group you may end your visit with some refreshment at our café or a feast in our feast hall Löddetofta. Coffe, cookies and sandwiches can be pre-ordered in the café.
